Enterprise SEO platforms cost $30,000 to $200,000+ a year and most companies buy one on a demo. This comparison is built from the questions that come up when we help clients choose, or help them get value from the one they already have. We are vendor-neutral on platforms: we work inside whichever one a client has licensed.

Where each platform wins
Conductor for organisations where content operations are the main SEO workstream and executives want a polished reporting layer. It also sells services, which is a reasonable bundle if you keep the two contracts visible.
BrightEdge for demand research at scale (Data Cube) and teams that want automated on-page fixes. The licence is at the top of the market.
seoClarity for teams that will build their own dashboards and want raw data with no keyword caps. The API is the reason to choose it. Our enterprise SEO reporting data model was built on top of it more than once.
Botify for sites above a million URLs where crawl budget and logs are the whole problem. Nothing else segments logs as well. It is overkill under 100,000 URLs.
Lumar for technical governance, pre-release checks and accessibility in the same tool. It is a crawler first; pair it with a rank tracker.
Semrush Enterprise for breadth on a lower budget, market and competitive data, and the fastest AI visibility module to ship. Log analysis is the gap.
Where you do not need a platform
- Sites under 20,000 URLs with one market: Screaming Frog, Search Console API, a mid-tier rank tracker and Looker Studio do the job. See enterprise rank tracking for setup.
- Companies without anyone to operate it. The most expensive licence is the one nobody logs into. Hire the operator first, or use enterprise SEO consulting to build the data model and then decide.
- AI visibility alone. If the only unanswered question is "where do we appear in ChatGPT and Gemini", a dedicated citation tracker (we use PromptRush) is cheaper and deeper than a platform module.
For rank-tracker setup without a full suite, see enterprise rank tracking. If you need a senior owner to build the data model first, use enterprise SEO consulting. Dedicated citation tracking sits in enterprise AEO and GEO services.
How to run a platform evaluation
- Give every vendor the same template group and 30 days of logs. Ask for the same three reports.
- Test the API with your BI team before the commercial conversation.
- Freeze a 500-keyword set and compare rank data against Search Console for a fortnight.
- Ask what happens to the price at 2x URLs and 2x markets.
- Separate the software price from any bundled services.
Platform licence bands sit in the enterprise SEO pricing guide next to retainers, consulting and in-house cost.
